🌟 My Journey: From Challenge to Healing 🌟
Welcome! I’m Kate Parfrement, the creator of Kata Von. My path into the realms of tarot, healing, and spirituality has been deeply influenced by my personal experiences, particularly my health challenges and my journey as an adopted child.
I am a globally renowned clairvoyant and empath based in Norfolk, UK. My story began in Great Yarmouth, where I was born Yvonne Bass. I was adopted at the age of three and renamed Katherine Yvonne Foreman, a change that sparked profound feelings of abandonment that I carried for many years. Through dedicated healing work, I eventually reconnected with my biological mother just before the COVID pandemic, which brought me a sense of closure and understanding.
At 14, I began to awaken to my empathic and psychic abilities, shortly after starting my practice in Reiki. Around this time, I experienced the loss of my nana, who was a pillar of support and the embodiment of home for me. She taught me to knit, imparting an unexpected spiritual lesson in picking up the dropped stitches of life with kindness and compassion.
My spiritual journey evolved, and at 22, while pregnant with my daughter, I received my first tarot deck. However, life’s demands—working long hours as a care assistant—forced my gifts to take a backseat for a time.
In 2018, I faced a life-altering diagnosis of intracranial hypertension and Chiari malformation. My doctors instructed me to avoid laughing, coughing, bending over, and even stress—things many of us take for granted. This sudden need for caution led me to reevaluate my life, guiding me toward introspection and healing.
Recently, I was diagnosed with frontal sinusitis, adding another layer to my journey. While these health challenges have been daunting, they have taught me invaluable lessons about resilience and self-discovery. They prompted me to explore healing beyond conventional methods, turning to the transformative powers of tarot and Reiki.
As I navigated these trials, I found solace in spiritual practices that helped me connect with my intuition and inner strength. Each obstacle became an opportunity for growth, deepening my empathy and understanding of others’ struggles.
Being adopted has profoundly shaped my identity and instilled in me a desire to help others on their journeys of self-discovery and healing. I believe that each of us carries a unique story, and through our shared experiences, we can foster connection and support.
Together with my partner of 20 years, Chris, we share our lives with our two incredible teenagers, Skye and Auron, and our beloved pets—our three cats, Doree, Cleo, and Isabelle, and our pug, Frankie.
